Adult Jewish Journeys Curriculum

 

The Chai Mitzvah adult Jewish Journeys curriculum features 12 beautifully illustrated sourcebooks featuring texts to spark meaningful discussions on topics such as Rites of Passage, Mindfulness and Conscious Living, Judaism and the Environment, and more.*  Our sourcebooks are designed by leading Jewish educators to be flexible and accessible to everyone. The texts are both traditional and contemporary, in Hebrew and English. Every sourcebook includes tips for facilitators and links to supplemental materials.

STANDARD TOPICS: Rites of Passage, Tzedakah/Philanthropy, Individual and Community, Interpersonal Relationships, Mindfulness/Conscious Living, Adding New Insights and Meaning to the Passover Seder, Israel and the Jewish Spirit, Gratitude: Modim Anachnu Lach, Judaism and the Environment, Leadership, Death and Loss, Arc of the Fall Holidays

 

 

There are three kinds of adult groups.

  1. Organizations: Your organization should register every year (no cost) to join Chai Mitzvah. Your registration helps Chai Mitzvah offer our programs and materials at very low cost.
  2. Friendship or Affinity Groups: Like a book group, invite people to form a small group. Your group should register every year (no cost) to join Chai Mitzvah. Your registration helps Chai Mitzvah offer our programs and materials at very low cost.
  3. Virtual Groups: Create your own virtual group (either through your organization with friends) or join an existing Chai Mitzvah virtual Jewish Journeys group. Your group should register every year (no cost) to join Chai Mitzvah. Your registration helps Chai Mitzvah offer our programs and materials at very low cost.
