Family Education Program

Chai Mitzvah Family Education materials are designed for school groups  family education settings, Chavura family groups, or individual participants with their families.

The program includes learning, social action, and ritual. Materials include intergenerational activities, texts for learning, suggestions for increasing meaning in ritual observances, and links to social action opportunities for each topic. There are also supplements with games and art projects. Choose the discussion questions and activities that best suit your group or your family.

Aseret Israel Scholars: Traveling the Ten Commandments is recommended for families planning a trip to Israel! A stipend for travel is available to families that complete the program.
Grandparents and Beyond is also recommended for families!

There are three kinds of Family Education groups.

  • Organizations: Your organization should register every year (no cost) to join Chai Mitzvah. Your registration helps Chai Mitzvah offer our programs and materials at very low cost.
  • Friendship or Affinity Groups: Invite a few families to form a small group. Your group should register every year (no cost) to join Chai Mitzvah. Your registration helps Chai Mitzvah offer our programs and materials at very low cost.
  • Virtual Groups: Create your own virtual group (either through your organization with friends). Your group should register every year (no cost) to join Chai Mitzvah. Your registration helps Chai Mitzvah offer our programs and materials at very low cost.
