Here we are in the heat and wet days of summer. I am enjoying a slower pace of life. Trying to relax and keeping the calendar clear. When the calendar turns to August I start to think about what is coming in the fall. If you have kids it’s about school forms, school clothes and any summer homework. 

For synagogues, it is about planning what we are going to offer in the fall and beyond. It is so hard to change from summer mode to fall and winter.
