One can’t open a machzor during the Days of Awe without being beckoned by the call to teshuvah, generally translated as “repentance.” Ultimately, teshuvah is an endeavor not just for the Days of Awe but for the entirety of our spiritual lives, as we strive to fulfill the deepest longing of our souls and move ever closer to coming home to our truest and holiest selves. In that regard, striving for teshuvah is the essence of a Mussar practice.
NOTE: WE WILL MEET ON THE SECOND MONDAY BECAUSE THE FIRST MONDAY IN SEPTEMBER IS LABOR DAY.
