DESCRIPTION:Many claim that Israel is in the wrong because it is stronger o
 r because more Palestinian Arabs are killed than Jews. In this session\, w
 e’ll examine how differences in power and casualty counts are used and a
 bused to seek moral superiority. Political cartoons\, with their intention
 al simplicity and visual reinforcement\, provide the starkest examples of 
 such narratives--and a useful focus to consider how best to respond.\nRegi

 l Science at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. His research has exami
 ned international and ethnic conflict\; the politics of international trad
 e and finance\; and the politics of market transition and institutional ch
 ange. He is the author\, co-author\, or co-editor of five books and over 5
 0 academic articles. His current research interests include ethno-territor
 ial wars and Chinese politics. He regularly visits Israel.
