SUMMARY:How Politicized K-12 Education is Radicalizing American Youth
DESCRIPTION:This lecture will examine how the movement for scholar-activism
  has made education inherently political\, with narrow ideologies replacin
 g scholarship. One of the results of this movement has been the gravitatio
 n towards radicalism by students. \nRegister Here\nDr. Brandy Shufutinsky
  is a social worker\, writer\, and researcher working to counter the illib
 eral takeover of our education system. Dr. Shufutinsky has been published 
 in Newsweek\, Jewish Journal\, The Jerusalem Post\, Sapir\, White Rose Mag
 azine\, and JNS. She has worked towards advancing the rights of victims an
 d survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault within the military co
 mmunity through practice\, education\, and research. Dr. Shufutinsky was a
  2021 Scholar-in-Residence at the Institute for the Study of Global Antise
 mitism &amp\; Policy Oxford Summer Institute\, where she worked to develop
  curriculum in Critical Antisemitism Studies. She is the Director of Educa
 tion and Community Engagement with North American Values Institute.\n\n
