DESCRIPTION:This lecture will focus on comparative Jewish and Hindu indigen
 eity\, theology\, and ritual\; anti-semitism and Hinduphobia\; and school 
 textbook and curriculum controversies in the United States.\nRegister Here
 \nDr. Marcy Braverman is the Director of Academic Affairs at the Jewish I
 nstitute for Liberal Values where she works to expose and oppose radical i
 deology and systemic anti-semitism in Higher Education. Her doctoral resea
 rch in Religious Studies at the University of California\, Santa Barbara\,
  focused on Hindu traditions in India and America. For twenty years she ta
 ught world religions at UNC Charlotte\, UC Riverside\, American Jewish Uni
 versity\, and Davidson College. As a Club Z Educator\, she teaches 8th-12t
 h graders about Jewish history\, Israel\, and activism. As Founder of Sans
 krit Revolution\, she teaches the language and history of yoga at certific
 ation programs nationwide. Along with Dr. Brandy Shufutinsky\, she will be
  launching a new podcast\, In Doctrine Nation: Examining Radicalized Educa
 tion.
