 a Parks was commuting home on the Cleveland Avenue bus from her job at a l
 ocal department store. She was seated in the front row of the “colored s
 ection.” When the White seats filled\, the driver asked Parks and three 
 other Black passengers to vacate their seats. The other Black riders compl
 ied\, but Parks refused. The impact of this decision on the history of the
  civil rights movement is well known. We will also explore the impact of t
