Scott Shay, President- Scott Shay is a prominent New York business leader and community leader. His successful career spans Wall Street, private equity, venture capital and banking. Currently he is Chairman of Signature Bank. Scott is a graduate of the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. A distinguished leader in the Jewish community, Scott is an active participant in Hillel, Hebrew schools, synagogues, Jewish day schools, Israel trips, and chaired the UJA-Federation of New York’s Commission on Jewish Identity and Renewal. His excellent organizational skills have led to his appointment to the boards of local, national, and international Jewish organizations including Birthright and Ohr Torah Stone. Scott is the author of the nationally acclaimed “Getting our Groove Back: How to Energize American Jewry.” He is Board President of 13 plus Chai. He and his wife Susan live New York City with their four children.


Alan Mendelson, Treasurer- Alan Mendelson has been a successful businessman and community leader in the Greater Hartford community for forty years. Currently, he is Trustee and Chair of the Finance Committee of the Greater Hartford Jewish Community Foundation, Director and Vice President of the Greater Hartford Jewish Federation, Chair of the Trinity Hillel Advisory Board, where he initiated and oversaw the building of the Zachs Hillel House, and Life Trustee of the Emanuel Synagogue. He was also the driving force behind the formation of the Southern New England Day School Consortium and the Happiness Study, a research effort to explore the relationship between Jewish transformational experiences such as Jewish Day Schools and quality of life indicators such as connectedness and a sense of meaning and purpose. Alan is founding General Partner of Axiom Venture Partners a venture capital firm with over 200 million under management. Throughout his career, Mr. Mendelson has been heavily involved with pro-bono work to foster technology development in Connecticut and is currently a Director of the Connecticut Technology Council and the MIT Enterprise Forum. He also sits on the board of the National Research Center for Women in Washington DC. and the Keck Graduate Institute in Claremont, California.


Ziel Feldman- Mr. Feldman began his career as an attorney in 1984 and continued practicing law through 1990. Concurrent with his position at his law firm, he began investing in several multi-family properties located in New York City. In 1991, Mr. Feldman co-founded Property Markets Group, a national real estate development company with a diverse portfolio of holdings. Its operations, spanning several states, include hotel, resort, residential, commercial and golf course community developments. In 2004, Mr. Feldman formed HFZ Capital Group, a Manhattan based real estate investment and development company. Additionally in 2007, he became Chairman of Polar Investments Ltd. and the company’s major shareholder. Polar is a publicly traded real estate company on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange. In this role, he provides the overall strategic guidance for Polar. With 20 years of experience in real estate investments, management and operations, Mr. Feldman brings a wealth of U.S. and international experience to the company. Through his extensive network of real estate professionals, he has owned and was personally involved in managing and developing assets valued at over $4 billion. Mr. Feldman graduated from Queens College with a B.A. in Economics and Accounting, and holds a Law degree from Cardozo Law School. He sits on the Board of Governors of Hillel and Moriah School of Englewood.
